On 28 November 2011 a briefing was held in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Republic of Kazakhstan

On 28 November 2011 a briefing of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan for representatives of diplomatic missions of foreign states and international organizations, accredited in Kazakhstan, which was devoted to elections of deputies of the Mazhilis of Parliament and maslikhats of the Republic of Kazakhstan, was held in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Republic of Kazakhstan. 
During the meeting, which was attended by the executive secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs R.S. Zhoshybayev, members of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan, heads and representatives of diplomatic missions of the near and far abroad states as well as of the international organizations, accredited in Kazakhstan, Mr. K. Turgankulov told about the work in the republic on the preparation of the forthcoming elections. 
“In general now the Central Election Commission has all necessary human and material resources and is ready to conduct elections at the necessary organizational level, providing to citizens and all election process stakeholders with the possibility to implement their constitutional rights freely and effectively”, – the Head of the CEC noted. 
Speaking about the level of development of the election legislation of Republic of Kazakhstan, K. Turgankulov stressed that “since the initial adoption of the Constitutional Act “On Elections in the Republic of Kazakhstan” it was amended 12 times with a view of its improvement and compliance with norms of the international election law. 
Recommendations of the international experts and the observers, who took part in monitoring of elections in within missions of the OSCE/ODIHR, CIS, SCO, etc., contributed in the process of development of the Kazakh election legislation. 
We actively work on the implementation of observers’ recommendations in the election process”. 
In conclusion the Chairman of Central Election Commission has expressed his confidence that the election campaign, which takes place before and in days of celebrating the 20 anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan, will have exclusively a consolidating character.
